Climbing Ladders

Downtown
Searching for adventure.
Just near me but unobtainable.
The old ladder covered in white flaking paint from the fifties would certainly be an adventure.
However, the razor wire cresting the ladder's peak limits us.
You could skirt the razor wire, however where would this lead anyways?
Adventure is diving into the unknown, however that threatening thought of razor wire limits us.
Why would we allow it to limit us?
It could be bypassed, but you could cut yourself.
We need to bypass our razor wire to reach the adventure atop the roof.

The Skinwalker

Welcome to these woods
These woods
My woods
Your woods
Please enjoy your stay
But only under the light of day
When the sun sets behind the mountains
And the stars come out to play
I pray
I pray
I pray
You go back from where you come
Because with the setting sun
The skin walker comes to have fun
It rips you limb from limb
The only one who hears your screams is me
I must leave you in misery
Your blood stains the ground
As pagans gather around
They ring their bells and summon hell
And infect these woods with pain
So be wary during the day
To not let time slip away
As day turns to night
You'll be given such a fright
As the skin walker draws near
And slits your throat ear to ear

Final Moments

I know I'm going to die. Yes, everyone has their day of reckoning however, my death is grueling,  and I'll be aware the entire time. Why do I keep trudging down the bald capped mountain? Habit I suppose. The blizzard throws me to my side. Laying in an embankment of snow, the frigid cold ripping into the last untouched reaches of my body. If I had the energy to scream maybe that snow cat would save me. Alas, all that comes out is weak breath torn into the piercing winds. Snow has already started to build up on me now, as if it knows I'm going to die and has started my burial early. Death now becomes a wish, life my enemy as it holds me into this pain as death works to set me free.

The Bloodied Ship

The wood of the ship creaks as it drifts, isolated in a sun-filled sea. Above deck the sails are open ready to catch wind, however the deck is lifeless, the only way to tell humans have touched this ship at all is the viscera spread across the deck. Unrecognizable bits of tendon, muscle and flesh paint the boards. When the ship is found it will be assumed the bloody mess simply came from a hunted whale; however, this is not the case. Everyone asks if or when a zombie apocalypse will occur, never realizing instead of wiping out earth, it decimated the crew of a poor whaling ship.

Halloween is so different for so many people.

Halloween. Halloween is so different for so many people. Young kids are already heading home as night descends upon your town, for they trick or treated during the day. A frat boy strains to load a keg into his car, " This is going to be the sickest party ever bro!"   A teen couple sits in a theatre, the boy is determined to put his arm around his date, no matter how cheesy the movie is. A large preteen friend group prepares their costumes; they certainly are going to frighten many unfortunate kids tonight.

Far out in the woods a masked man fails to rev up his chainsaw; he'll make the headlines next year. Deep underground a secret society lights candles; who will be their sacrifice? Outside your door a zombie waits; will you be his next meal? In the halls crawl the Chupacabra ; will he drink your blood? Under your bed waits the boogeyman; will he take you to his lair? In the corner floats the previous owner of your home; is your house that old?

The Grim Reaper creeps down the stairs, but where is he going? Oh no! He's right behind YOU!

8th grade a time of turmoil with all of the drama good and bad we take off to high school we were the top dogs of campus no we are back down...
