During the fourth era, when the Pug Empire was at the height of its power, there was a pug by the name of Tallinn-pug.
He was a simple merchant who traveled the roads of the pug empire selling his wares to weary travelers along the bleak tundra and mountains in which he traveled. Successful as he was, his prosperity had, inevitably, come to a screeching halt with the looming threat of war with the chihuahua dominion.
Many poor pugs will be drafted into the imperial legion and sent off to fight a bloody war. The first skirmishes along the border have already begun. The pug emperors have been rushing to strengthen their armies in order to defend their land as well as provide a deadly offense. But the chihuahua dominion has a vast army, capable of causing great destruction. All things considered the two armies are fairly equal in power.
Today Tallinn-pug is traveling to the imperial capital of Kynesgrove, one of the largest cities on the continent. But this time he carries no cart, nothing to sell or trade. He travels in order to be trained as a legionary.
The road is long and cold, and holds more dangers than one could count on both hands. Bandits,
thieves, wild animals, dragons, etc. Walking is long and boring, but at least the biting cold keeps
travelers awake. The darkness barley allows Tallinn-pug to see the path in front of him. As he rounds a large icy glacier, he notices hundreds of small lights illuminating a vast interurban mass of walls and buildings. He thought that now would be a great time to lay down his sleeping roll and sleep, so he did. When morning arose, Tallinn-pug quickly gathered his things and looked over at the
mass he saw the night before. It was clearly the capital. Pointed spires jutted out from large buildings on one side and small homes covered miles of the earth on the other.
Though the capital was in clear view it would still take hours to walk to the gates.

I really like the descriptive words you use in your writing!!
Ms. Brenda
Sounds like an interesting start to an adventure.
Excellent, can't wait for the continuation.
I am excited to see where the story takes the pug empire but how could pugs lose
I really love pugs and I love your amazing story I'm really excited for the next part I can't wait!
Is the pug empire even bigger than the Ottoman Empire? Also, great story with pugs and empires. Might do top 5 evil empires.
If the story was set on earth the pug empire would cover as much ground as the Soviet Union did. Before I'd fell apart.
Great post, I really hope you make a part two. Also was any of your story inspired by something because some of the things in your story sound really familiar to me.
I would read about Tallinn-pug forever. I adore him!
