Rhythm
The rhythm of your heart
Each beat
 Faster than the others
Yet slower
Fast and delayed
Loud and quiet
The grayscale of
Each petal
Each layer a layer upon
Until layers become
Too thin
Thin and quiet
As she sits alone
Shy and hidden
Hidden like color
Beautiful color
Each layer a layer upon
Until layers become
Broken
Off from
The others
The others intact
Like petals of gray
Gray turns
To black
Black layers
Become
No more

I love the way you talk about flower petals. The words sound beautiful and majestic.
