The Empire That Killed The Most People
You might be surprised when I say the empire that killed the most people was the British Empire. More deaths than Hitler and Stalin's genocide combined. They killed around 150 million people. They also used concentration camps way before World War 2 in South Africa during the second Boer war because they couldn't beat the Boers because their families helped the fighters. Thousands of women and children died from disease and starvation from these camps. Not to mention they hoarded the rice and grain from India and increased taxation that then caused widespread famines that killed around 29 million people. So I hope you learned a little bit more about the British Empire.

Really informative but not boring, good job.
As dark as it may be... it is really interesting.
This was full of facts about a war that I didn't even know about. Thank you. I can't believe that someone did concentration camps before Hitler. I bet that because there aren't really "Empires" anymore than people won't really get killed as often. How many people did the Catholic empire kill while forcing countries to convert?
Honestly, I wasn't surprised. Although Britain itself is small, it amassed a stupid amount of power. It had control of colonies everywhere, I'd expect that it would at least be up there.
The Catholic Church is responsible for an estimated 12 million deaths.
