Curious Minds

One day Timmy and his three friends were walking down the street. They saw a cave like structure and they were wondering about it. The next day, all three of his friends went back to that very location and started walking toward it. Suddenly, a dog started running after them and they were forced to run in. After they got in the cave, their curious minds told them to go deeper. They ventured off into the darkness and eventually stumbled upon a person laying on the ground. First, they tried talking to him, but he didn't answer and then they finally figured out. He was dead! So they ran as fast as they could out of the cave to tell their parents. The next day when they came back, the body was gone. To Be Continued...

Free

Each strand of yellow
Thick grass
Each one longer than another
Each thin flake of
Bark brown and brittle
As it sheds on the
Ground spiraling and
Twisting
Until the tree is
No more
Until each bark is
Free

Every brown and white hair
Sticking out
Of the tender hide of
The deer
The young deer roams
I roam in the sunlight
Elegant and
Free

So peaceful
All the beauty
Of nature
All just enveloping the
Sun so hidden yet overshown
Like a spotlight
Alone and together
The deer secure and
Free

Raindrop

It was another normal day, I suppose. The house we lived in was yellow with a red roof, trees surrounded the house, and our small island was within a raindrop. It was normal to us. Thunder cracked and soon we were falling from the sky in a single raindrop. "Well, this is it." That was the only thing I thought before our used-to-be island slammed into the ground, making everything quiet. I took one last breath before excepting my fate.

Mother

“Mother,” the insolent child screamed, “can I have my tea now?”
‘No,’ said mother while slapping her child across the face, “You must wait ‘till dinner!”
The insolent child ran up to his sleeping quarters and slammed the door shut. But the child did not cry, for he had forged a plan of brilliance. At sundown he was to kill his mother. He would first distract her with his astonishingly good behavior as she was making tea. Then he would strike her down. He gathered the horse tranquilizers he found in his father’s bedroom drawer. He knew his father would be proud. His father had always hated that obese bovine. The insolent child glared at the wall planning. He then sat down and read Mrs. Unicorn and the Fashion Show to pass time until dinner. After waiting, he heard his mother’s screech, “Time for dinner!”

It was time.

He walked down the stairs with his horse tranquilizer in his back pocket. He glanced at the already-made table and noticed that his father wasn’t there. It was oddly quiet. He thanked his mum for setting the table and making dinner. She was astonished, but happy.

“Why you’re welcome my dear,” she replied. “You may take a seat where you like.”
He did. His mother brought over his dinner and ate in quiet.
“I’m sorry about my actions earlier, Mother.”
She looked at the child in surprise. She then opened her mouth to say, “Why I forgive you my dear...Say, why are you acting so nice all of a sudden?”
“No reason.”

He smirked an evil smirk as he finished up his dinner, and proceeded to pick up the dishes. As he was rinsing them, his mother started the tea. He slowed his rinsing and waited. When she was in total distraction, he slowly left the sink. He kept the faucet running so she doesn’t notice his absence. He slowly crept towards his mother. He pulled out the horse tranquilizer. Adrenaline was rushing through his veins. Slowly creeping towards his mother, he raised his arm. His next actions left him covered in blood. The sun slowly crept behind the hills. A door opened.

His father would be so proud.

An Important Message From McDonald's

For four thousand years the cow people have ruled the universe. Conquering everything in their way, the great cow leader, General Milk, is one of greatness and is considered God in the cow kingdom. But then there was Moo. in the words of the other cows, “@$##@&^#%@&*#@$%#$%,” which roughly translates to “he sucks,” in Cowenese.

Moo was a failure, his Cowenese was horrendous, he couldn’t frolic in the fields like the other cows, and he didn’t flop over to worship the General Milk. However, Moo had planned a coup. He was to cownapp General Milk and his son Cottage Cheese and sell them to the Goat Mafia. Then Moo would be considered god! But first he had to get in contact with the dreaded Goat Mafia, and to do that he had to find… Chevre.

Moo trotted down the abandoned alleyway, sure to make his hoovesteps light and quiet. He turned the corner and saw the silver trashcan glistening in the moonlight. He knew what he had to do next. Moo carefully climbed into the trashcan shutting himself into the cramped space. “Down with the God,” Moo whispered. The ground flew out from under him and he fell at an alarming rate. Moo began to panic; what if they send me to the slaughter house?!, his cow brain screamed for his body to do something.

Suddenly Moo came to a hard, abrupt stop, sucking the air out of his lungs. When he opened his eyes, he saw the face of the one and only Chevre. He opened his mouth to speak, but was gagged. He was not surprised when everything went black.

And that kids, is how your Big Mac is made.

BlackOut Poem

I
Am
Suffering
Of
Pride
And
Fear

You
Me
Everyone you know was born with a gift
A gift of life
Sometimes one isn't enough
This box was packaged with even more gifts
Your skills, looks and mind
But the best one is personality
It shows who you really are
Make it your own and be who you want to be

Echo

All through
the black
pines, shooting
forth such
laughter, echoing.
His course
lightened.

The Skinwalker

Welcome to these woods
These woods
My woods
Your woods
Please enjoy your stay
But only under the light of day
When the sun sets behind the mountains
And the stars come out to play
I pray
I pray
I pray
You go back from where you come
Because with the setting sun
The skin walker comes to have fun
It rips you limb from limb
The only one who hears your screams is me
I must leave you in misery
Your blood stains the ground
As pagans gather around
They ring their bells and summon hell
And infect these woods with pain
So be wary during the day
To not let time slip away
As day turns to night
You'll be given such a fright
As the skin walker draws near
And slits your throat ear to ear

The Urban Shepherd

                                                       The Urban Shepard

Zach Richardson is an urban shepherd. He calls himself this because he is in a team called The Chew Crew. What his team does is raise sheep to eat all plants that can be a hassle to deal with. They then take all the sheep into city parks and let them eat all the hazardous plant life. This does not hurt the sheep at all. His team consist of 60 sheep and his border collie called Duggie. Duggie helps Zach keep the sheep in order. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee, and mostly only does his work there. He loves his job and said he would never do anything else. He also said that when he sees the sheep eat, he finds it relaxing.

Her

Everyday I kiss her on the forehead and tell her it'll be okay. Everyday I see the pain in those china blue eyes. Everyday I hug her before she steps on the bus. Everyday except for today. Today is the day I left before sunrise. Today is the day she'll be on her own. Today is the day she'll be pained as ever. Today is the day they come home.
They'll act like it's normal. They'll act as they care. They'll say they'll stay always. By morning they won't be there. The day they leave, is the day I come home. The day they leave without a word, is the day she'll no longer be alone.
Let that day come. Let it be now. Let it come before it sets in and before she asks how. How could they do this? How could they leave? She'll be sitting on the stairs with a tear stained sleeve.
I'll take her in my arms and carry her in. She'll be limp and frail, then my job begins. I'll hug her and smile and let her see. They'll never love her as much as me.

Kazekistan Today Vol. 2

News has been released today on the negotiations between Kazekistanese president Brandon
Johnson and revolutionary leader Kirianna McNerny. It is unclear as to what exactly they discussed, but it is known that we will be taking military action against the revolutionaries in the colony. On Tuesday, February 14th, Kazekistanese paratroopers will be dropped in over the colony. President Johnson said to the public today, "We hope to end this conflict as quickly and painlessly as possible. While their militia is equal in size to our army, our soldiers are far better trained, and far better equipped."

In other news, Kazekistan's new foreign policy is causing some changes in daily life.
The new foreign policy is now allowing extended working visas for anyone from any country.
The changes also allow refugees into the country. To help accommodate these refugees, many new residential zones are being built.

A new colony has been annexed into Kazekistan today. The province of Ponderosa
has agreed to join Kazekistan, and will support us with food imports and new military equipment.
Soldiers will be sent over on Saturday, February 18th.

This weekend the Kazekistanese government will purchase new military equipment from America. Backpacks, uniforms, and gloves are expected to arrive on Monday.

Festivities on Valentine's Day hit an all-time low this year, as nobody attended the annual Valentine's Day dance at Manitou Springs Middle School. 100% of the population was also without a valentine this year.

Thank you for reading/listening to Kazekistan, THE VOICE Of TRUTH. Tomorrow we will give more details on operation Desert Toad.

He's home, he's home
His baby face is oily
His welts are slowly
Disappearing
His beard is a black snowball
He definitely has no balls

Stop driving around

It's okay to be nice

Yellow Dressed Girl

The sun barely setting. Very nice day to play pool and have dinner. At the corner of my eye I see a girl very beautiful, matches her bright yellow dress. I buy her a drink. just like that we're in love. we're both pretty boozed up with the sun still out. We go on a very calm, soothing walk through the dense woods. Sitting on the grassy hills watching the sunset over the blue mountains. Next day comes....she's gone.

just focus on that one sound
the sound of a little girl skipping in the the night
with fright the boogie man will snatch her tight

Kazekistan today

Kazekistan is a newly formed country in Colorado Springs. This is its newspaper.

The last couple of days in Kazekistan have been very tense as the threat of war with the newly formed colony has been quickly rising. President Brandon Johnson spoke with revolutionary leader Kirianna McNerny on Friday to discuss political terms in the event that they are allowed to become an independent nation. Information has not yet been released on their discussions.

In other news, the country's first military parade will be marched on Friday, February 17th.
The event is meant to fully demonstrate the country's new military modernization program. It will be the largest gathering of Kazekistanese military forces in history.

Military operations in the United States are expected to increase over the next four months.
These operations are not to provoke the American powers, but rather to be a military simulation in the event of a war between the U.S. and Kazekistan. President Johnson said yesterday, "We do not wish to create more tension with us and the U.S. , but we will react with force if they try and limit our operations in the area."

Kazekistanese citizens rejoice today as a large shipment of food and water has arrived
from the U.S of A. Three two-gallon bottles of water and several sacks of pretzel bread
were brought in and should help fight hunger in our nation.

It was also announced today that refugees from the Middle East will be allowed into the country. However, extensive background checks must be undergone before an individual will be allowed in, and any acts of terrorism or violence committed by any refugee will result in public torture and execution.

Thank you for listening to Kazekistan Today, the VOICE OF TRUTH . Tomorrow we will further discuss the situation in the colony, as well as the new foreign policy, and how it will affect daily life in Kazekistan

Behind Your Life

Behind your life
Lie  many others
Your life has luxury
Your life has compassion
Your life has windows
But outside those windows
Outside the luxuries
Outside the compassion
There is life
At the smallest level
From the stone that lies
From the leaf that falls
From the water that runs
It's important to go out
And witness
The smallest level
Then go up
Go up from the water
Go up from the leaf
Go up from the stone
Then come back
To the compassion
To the luxuries
And to
The window
It is then you will realize
There is more than you thought
Behind your life

The Old Indian

His eye
His sad, sad right
eye.  The left,
he lost in the war-
fighting for his people.
It was a long, long time
ago.  He was younger
then, and believed
in everything.

Now there is nothing left
to fight for, and he's not even sure
that he was right.

The wooden beam of his home
(the tree he axed and heaved and hewed
            with his two strong hands)
Now holds him up.

He ponders the past, those days of conviction,
when the blood of his veins raged for revenge.

Now he hopes simply to live another day.

One eye missing
One button missing
One thumb missing

He's lost so many things, but gained others --
      wrinkles,
                         scars,
                                        gray hairs.

It's so difficult to smile.

The Dog With Dreams

The dog had a dream to fly
But he didn't want to die
He jumped the roof and said "bye, bye"
And he somehow made it to the sky?

So Don't Be Late

Fire can let people unbound from the shadows,
yet you have to shed tears to show him that you are human.
Just don’t fall into madness
or he will follow your soul with flames.
Only he manages your red water in your veins
and he reigns your soul.
You have till the candle blows out
or you will drip your last drop,
so don’t be late.

The Clown

The clown standing there in the light just thinking about what he has done. Regretting every second of it. All the lives he took all the hearts he broke. Not worth it thinking to himself. Why he had done this in the first place. Constantly thinking about the blood, guts, and gore trying to get his mind on something other that death. He was always a strange person who you just didn't know what he was thinking all the time. His mother always knew he would have done dark things in his future like this. His dad was never in his life. He left when he was about three or so. He dealt with his anger in strange ways like constantly screaming in his room. They tried to get him therapy, but it never worked. He was always a dark person through his life, but his mom would have never have dreamed he would do something like this. To be continued!

Salty

We were on a beach and I dove in that warm water with no goggles and that's when I became salty .
The salt was in my eyes. I couldn't see anything except how salty I became.

How that salt turned me into a SALTY person, salty salty salty oh how salty I became. I ripped off a starfishes arm because I'm just that salty. I pushed a five year old in that part of the water where the crabs and eels lurk. And deep enough she can't swim, where she too will become salty, you know why i did that? Because I'm just that salty.

                                                 Sincerely ,
Ya boii salty and her new salty snail
I did it for me
And for me alone
Not much to see
It was hard as stone
I did it for me
And I'm proud of it
Don't care if you leave
I know ill smile form it
It feels good
And now its over
There I stood
Felt sort of sober
It's better for me
And you
Pain flows like the sea
But soon it will dwindle
Too
I did it for me
And maybe for you
I did it for me
And not thats
Understood...

The Empire That Killed The Most People

You might be surprised when I say the empire that killed the most people was the British Empire. More deaths than Hitler and Stalin's genocide combined. They killed around 150 million people. They also used concentration camps way before World War 2 in South Africa during the second Boer war because they couldn't beat the Boers because their families helped the fighters. Thousands of women and children died from disease and starvation from these camps. Not to mention they hoarded the rice and grain from India and increased taxation that then caused widespread famines that killed around 29 million people. So I hope you learned a little bit more about the British Empire.

Lost without memories

Ow.... my head (2 hours later). Ok I have no idea who I am or where I am, but I can remember basic things, but not anything of my personal life. I think I'm in a dessert because I've obviously been out here for quite some time as I'm second degree burned on my legs and arms. For some reason I have a taser. Oh wait I can check my pockets for a wallet witch might have an ID in it.... ok I didn't find an ID but I did find a pistol attached to my belt. Apparently in my past I injured my leg pretty badly because I appear to be walking with a limp. (Washington D.C.) general smith we have no idea where he is. "Have you checked his apartment". Yes sir there was evidence he hadn't been there for a week and all of his gear was missing but their is some bad news". Well don't just sit there spit it out". There was blood that did not belong to him". Well do we know whose blood it is". The tests are being done as we speak. Ok I see a small town about 4 or 5 miles away hopefully I will make it their before nightfall. What the heck . A knife stained in blood just fell out of my back pocket the only reason I noticed at all is because I tripped over a rock and the object came flying out and sliced my back from what I can tell from the wound the knife sliced pretty deep. I need to get to that town fast. Sir the blood results came back its partially his and the other half is some one else they think he was defending himself. I want to be notified if a body is found in the general area. (Somewhere in the Sahara desert) I've made it to the town before nightfall and it appears to be a ghost town and as far as I can tell no one has been hear for a few decades. There's a mine in the distance. You know the kind of mine that they mined for gold. I will be sure to avoid that. I need to find bandages would a saloon have bandages. "Creak" man this floor is very rickety "crack" oh no OW REALLY MY HEAD AGAIN. As I fell I slowly realized that this is basically a bottomless pit except it's not cause I can see the end. Sir our satellites just found someone entering Area 51 WHAT HOW DID SOMEONE GET IN AREA 51? We don't know he just appeared as if he teleported there. Where is he now? He has entered one of the hangers. Which Hanger what hanger. We can't tell all we can make out is a 3 but we do know from the cameras that it was the hanger with the prototype ship. Get a strike force mobilized in 20 were going back to 51.

Continue reading for a glimpse at  part 2

Within 20 seconds I came from a desert to a town  and now i`m in what appears to be a military base.

Repetition

The boy began to notice a pattern
A kind of repetition that is so repetitive it doesn't seem like repetition anymore
All of the other boys wore the same clothing
Had the same toys
Lived in identical houses
And were referred to exactly the same.
They had the same faces given to them to wear by unknown beings
And at school they learned the exact same things and were expected to get the exact same grades
Soon the boy began to wonder if they thought like him too.
When the boy looked around all he saw was a monotone world
He began to long for more than just grey
So he cut himself open with scissors so everyone could see
But they snatched him up and sew him back together with string

Eventually the boy stopped wanting to be anything at all.

CAA

It was his first day working for the Criminal Acts Association. Everything was bleak around him. Towering clouds gave of a grey aura. It was drizzling. He was left without feeling on this day of grey. His face blank as he set foot unto the bus. Two other men in business suits eyed him carefully. He eyed them back, wondering why they were staring. Maybe, just maybe, the two were a part of the CAA as well. Maybe they were curious, wondering if he too was part of that secret organization.

Why Kill

                                                                       Why Kill

She got caught. Now she has to go to prison. Prison is not a friendly place. She was always a nice
girl. What happened to the friend I knew. Everything has changed for her, she was the nicest girl. Why did she kill him? Was she on drugs or was it self defense? She would never just kill because she was mad. Only one person saw the murder, but she did not say if it was self defense. She killed him with a pocket knife. Normally if someone purposely kill they would kill with a gun or a big knife. She is in court today and we will she how long she will be in prison. It was self defense. That means she won't be in jail for a long time.

Teachers Should Get Paid More!

For some reason this year I've wanted to experience what it is like to be a teacher. I wouldn't want to be a 6th grade teacher because it's not worth it. I would rather want to be a 3rd grade or under. The reason for this is because they only get $55,000 a year. That should change. Some kids may hate school, but teachers play such a huge role in our life. They help us create a career in life, and succeed. They lead us to making all the money. So something should change about this. Do you agree?
The puppet master sits in his chair. Forever he converses with his puppets. The puppets care for him. He loves them, more than he loves them. Which may not make sense to us. But it does to the puppet master. As the strings tug on his arms and back, the puppets laugh at him. He laughs nervously back at them trying to please them. The puppets whisper into his ear “It’s that time of day”. The puppets them proceed to frantically crawl around the doorless room. The strings drag the puppet master behind them. The puppet master does not struggle, for it would displease the puppets. Instead he remains limp, and he lets the floor nails dig into his back. The puppets let him back into his chair, and the cuts and holes in his skin close up. The puppets then proceed to crawl inside the puppet master. The puppet master sighs. He falls asleep. And then process repeats, forever.
Rhythm
The rhythm of your heart
Each beat
 Faster than the others
Yet slower
Fast and delayed
Loud and quiet
The grayscale of
Each petal
Each layer a layer upon
Until layers become
Too thin
Thin and quiet
As she sits alone
Shy and hidden
Hidden like color
Beautiful color
Each layer a layer upon
Until layers become
Broken
Off from
The others
The others intact
Like petals of gray
Gray turns
To black
Black layers
Become
No more

Rambling Autobiography

I was born in the dead cold of December in 2002. I belived (and still do) that I was a superhero. I love my brother. It's difficult to think about the past, not because of how dejected it was, just because I don't remember. My parents, when they were together, were cute and didn't fight a whole lot. I skipped pain and sorrow. I can chose to let something itch at my mind. I lie sometimes. I'm very thankful. I want my mother to live till she's sixty. One time, when I was in the 4th grade, I split my head open. Two years and more memories later I did it again, not intentionally of course. I worry about my heart breaking. I wouldn't say things are well at home. My step-dad is a broken person who has no will to fix himself. He yells more often than he loves. My dad has married a woman whom has drastically changed from the person he knew twenty years ago. I think he knows it. We get along way better when she isn't there. I pray for him to find an end to his farce love. I pray for my mother as well, I pray so she finds refuge for her damaged heart. I feel that if I treat people better than what I have whitenesed, they will be above that low since of cruelty and find elation. I test myself often, and often test myself.

Key

I was about to grab the one thing I needed when footsteps could be heard clicking down the dim  hallway. I acted quickly and lifted myself into a roof window, pushing my limbs against the window pane. The footsteps stopped right under me and I looked down to see a woman that looked in her twenties, dressed in a striped sweater, black skinny jeans, and a lab coat that ended at her mid calf.

I stayed silent and keep an eye on the lady making sure I wasn't noticed. Once she was done looking around she opened a metal door and clicked it shut. I stayed there even though my limbs were burning in pain, and made sure she wasn't coming back. Once I was sure she wasn't coming back I jumped down and landed silently on the white tiles of the small room. I reached my hand towards the key and snatched it with my black gloved hand. I stuffed it into my pants pocket and ran up the wall grabbing onto the vent where I came in. Hauled myself up into the vent making sure to make as little of noise as possible.
Once I was in I closed the vent again and crawled through the metal maze. I looked down to see where I was and it looked like I was on top of a room with someone in it but it looked like a prison or jail cell. I looked at the person closer and gasped but put a hand over my mouth before an noise could come out. I made sure it was her before I whispered to her.

"Hey Jess, JJ, up here"

She looked up and smiled brightly then told me what happened in a paragraph, and asked what I was doing, I showed her the key and she looked at me with surprise. I didn't say anymore, I took the vent cover off the vent and held my hand out. She grabbed it and I pulled her up. Once she was up she crawled the ways I told her to and we soon made it out of that laboratory of a building. We jumped out into an ally and sprinted towards my apartment.
Police sirens could be heard in the distance as we ran. Jumping onto roofs and in ally ways, soon making our way back to my apartment. We soon made it there and I pulled the key out again it only took a sentence to make Jessica smile a wide smile.

"So when do we finish the job?, now that you're back"

Buttermints

Sweet, creamy, buttery, and minty. You could say all this about this white, rectangular shaped treat. It was creamy almost like frozen half & half. Sweet like powdered sugar on top of brownies. But of course buttery when it melted on your tongue. It was like everything you could ask for in a sweet. Finally, minty like toothpaste you use before going to bed. After all it is a buttermint.

She did it to make people angry
She did it to make them scared
She did it because she was alone
She did it to make them care
She did it to make them hurt
Like they had done to her,
But most of all she did it
To make her happy and reassured.

Rambling Autobiography

I was born in 2002 when Italy won the World Cup. I had received a concussion somehow using matches. I can still feel the fear when I saw him. One of my favorite places to be is in a tent asleep in a mummy bag in a forest. Things I enjoy doing most is soccer and sleeping in late. When I was 10 I ran far from my dads house to get to my mom's house only to get lost for hours until I found my way home. My favorite soccer team is Borussia Dortmund with my favorite player Marco Reus. I had started hockey when I was 11 and have enjoyed it quite a lot. When I grow older it is my dream is to be, a professional soccer player.

4th of July

It was the 4th of July. I was in a 3 story house on the side of a mountain. All 20 of us were playing kick the can so time would pass. We started to light our fireworks. Finally, the big burst of light stot through the sky. It was the 4th of July!

Final Moments

I know I'm going to die. Yes, everyone has their day of reckoning however, my death is grueling,  and I'll be aware the entire time. Why do I keep trudging down the bald capped mountain? Habit I suppose. The blizzard throws me to my side. Laying in an embankment of snow, the frigid cold ripping into the last untouched reaches of my body. If I had the energy to scream maybe that snow cat would save me. Alas, all that comes out is weak breath torn into the piercing winds. Snow has already started to build up on me now, as if it knows I'm going to die and has started my burial early.
